Simple to start. Easy to trust.

No referrals, no waiting rooms, no confusing paperwork. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you reach out to the follow-up after your visit.

The complete process

Four steps to peace of mind

Reach Out

Call (786) 330-8016, email us, or use the contact form. We'll talk about your loved one's situation, answer questions, and recommend the right services — no pressure, no obligation.

Schedule the Visit

We find a day and time that works for your family — including times when adult children can be present in person or by phone. You'll know exactly what to expect before we arrive.

The In-Home Visit

A licensed Firefighter/Paramedic performs the selected assessments — health, medications, vitals, mobility, home and fire safety — calmly and thoroughly, in the comfort of home.

Findings & Follow-Up

You receive clear findings and practical recommendations. Anything that needs medical attention is flagged for your loved one's healthcare providers, and we can schedule ongoing monitoring visits.

During the visit

Unhurried, respectful, thorough

  • We introduce ourselves properlyYour loved one meets a friendly, uniformed professional — never a stranger rushing through.
  • Assessments at their paceHealth checks, conversation, and measurements happen comfortably — questions welcomed the whole way.
  • A walk through the homeWith permission, we check the areas where accidents actually happen — bathrooms, stairs, kitchen, bedroom.
  • Everything explained in plain EnglishYou get findings and recommendations you can actually use — not medical jargon.

Who benefits most

Is Salus right for your family?

Older adults living independently

Seniors who want to stay in their own home — safely — with someone experienced keeping an eye on health trends and hazards.

Anyone recently discharged

The weeks after a hospital or ER visit are the riskiest. A follow-up visit helps recovery stay on track and prevents readmissions.

Families who live far away

Adult children who can't visit as often as they'd like — and want trustworthy, professional eyes on Mom or Dad between their own visits.

Common questions

Before your first visit

No referral is needed. Anyone can schedule a Salus visit directly — for themselves or for a loved one (with their consent).

Absolutely. Many of our clients' adult children join by phone or video for the findings portion of the visit, or receive a summary afterward — whatever your family prefers.

Very little. It helps to have all medications (including over-the-counter and supplements) in one place, and any recent discharge paperwork if the visit follows a hospital stay. We handle the rest.

We explain it clearly, document it, and recommend the right next step — usually a follow-up with their physician. If we ever encounter a true emergency during a visit, we're uniquely qualified to respond and will activate 911 immediately.
